ABOUT THE SPACE

Situated just on the border of bustling Preston East in Reservoir, Victoria, Natural Habitat Studios is a multi-purpose creative space. A safe haven of creativity, Natural Habitat is an inclusive and respectful studio that offers space for rehearsal, recording, filming, classes and events.

Natural Habitat Studios was first created in 2018, when owner Matt Sheers took over an old shop in Reservoir, Victoria, looking for a space to create and rehearse. After many hours painting, cleaning, soundproofing and cleaning some more, the space was ready to use. Joined by fellow musician and recording engineer Jamie Stroud, the pair have now opened the doors to the Melbourne creative scene

The studios are a welcome contrast from sterile city rooms, with a large stunning 6x10 metre live room with a mixer/PA system, photography backdrops, lighting and large windows with natural light. Adjoining the live room is a humble monitoring/mixing room with a Tascam M3700 32 channel analogue mixing desk, Focusrite Clarett+ 8Pre USB Audio Interface and Event monitors.
